Motto of Jain Vidyaashram is 'Wisdom and Light'. The children are upskilled to be an Amar Jyoti in imparting knowledge. Students of class 7 carried out Cancer Awareness Programme on World Cancer Day, 4th February 2020 under the guidance of their teachers. It aimed to educate the children and elders to stay healthy and diagnose cancer in its early stage.
An amazing speech was put before the crowd by a student citing the theme of World Cancer Day 2020 'I am And I Will'. The choir intoned a sweet song to establish a Ray of hope to the cancer victims. It bolster confidence to confront cancer.
The talk of the day was the Catwalk -cum-combat performed by students. The models dressed themselves as Air freshener, junk food, plastic, non stick utensils and had a combat with models dressed as , vegetables, Garlic, turmeric, fruits and Madagascar Periwinkle. Finally vegetables, fruits, turmeric, garlic and Periwinkle won the battle.
The proverb 'prevention is better than cure' is applicable for all the generations. Students played a skit to quote it and mention, diagnosis and proper treatment can save lives from cancer. They also listed a few curable cancers such as breast, cervical and oral cancers which can be diagnosed in the early stage.
They concluded the event with the pledge
" Together we are tougher
Let our faith be bigger
Than our fear
Never give up
Goodbye to cancer".
The host even cross-questioned the audience and they answered eagerly. The Principal appreciated the good work done by the students.
JV Literary Club works in tandem to benefit students in the disciplines of writing, speaking and logical thinking, Improve self efficacy and confidence. It develops excellent communication skills and teaches students to think spontaneously.
JV has always tried to arouse creativity among its young learners through various scholastic and co-scholastic activities. It always takes the initiative to provide platform to students so that they can exhibit creative talents in various fields. In this regard, on 1st February 2020 , the school organised "The Literary Fest 2020" wherein students of class 3 to 8 exhibited their creative skills.
The exhibition area was full of models, charts, games and enactments. The event was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Mr. Raj Chordia, The CEO of JV. He cut the ribbon and with the blessings of the almighty the event was announced open. Mrs Bhuvaneshwari, Secretary of the Literary Club, welcomed and honoured the guest. During the event Mrs. Eshani Chordia, Edge Coordinator and Mr. P.C. Chopra, Secretary also joined the exhibition and gave their valuable comments. A group of class 3 students danced to explain the usage of 'helping verbs'. Students from primary classes sang a song teaching 'Parts of Speech'. A Class 5 student narrated a wonderful story with her utmost body language. The main attraction of the events were the Puppet show, Shipwreck and Monologue of Portia by students. The shipwreck was performed by class 8 students. They dressed up like various distinguished personalities and quoted their excellence in their fields.
The puppet show was performed on the theme "Covet all, Lose all". Many fun games based on Grammar and vocabulary were made by students. The guests also enjoyed playing those games and puzzles. Mrs Menaka, the Joint Secretary of the Literary Club presented the vote of thanks.
The children were highly appreciated by the Chief Guest for the efforts of creating literary world in the school premises. They were impressed by the hard work put in by the students under the guidance of English faculties. Mrs Esther Stanley, the Principal and Mrs. Aruna, the Vice Principal also liked the energy utilization of students and they applauded the great efforts of students and the English department teachers who had been supportive for the success of the event.
Jain Vidyaashram produces confident, self protective and self empowered citizens. JV Students excel in various self defensive arts. 16 students from Jain Vidyaashram took part in Fit India 2020, A World Record event which was jointly organised by Noble World Record and Indian non Olympic Association with Nehru Yuva Kendra, Ministry of youth affairs and sports and Government of India. The event was held at P.R. Siddha Naidu Memorial Matric School, Coimbatore.
Their Motto was to create awareness about Self defence. 2000 students from various schools displayed their excellence in Karate, KungFu, Silambam, Yoga and Bharatanatyam.
Our students showcased their skills in Silambam under the guidance of Silambam coach Mr. R. Muruga Kani and Mr. M. Raja. The participants were appreciated by The Chief Guest Dr. Mohammed Siraj Ansari and rewarded with certificates.

Jain Vidyaashram celebrated the 71st Republic Day on the auspicious morning of 26th January , 2020 in the school premises. Mr. P. C. Chopra, Secretary of JV and Mr. Rihaansh Chordia, Head P. E. T. were the chief guests. The chief guests were warmly welcomed by the Principal Mrs. Esther Stanley.
The Honourable Chief Guest unfurled the national flag and it was followed by national anthem.
A grand marchpast was held to remember soldiers who sacrificed their lives for their country by NCC cadets, Scouts, RSP, JRC and Soma , Hari, Surya, Drew houses of Jain vidyaashram.
A fusion song was sung wonderfully focusing on the culture of India. A few speeches were given by students to illustrate the significance of constitution of India. The speeches invoked the precious contribution of great freedom fighters.
Towards the end, our Vice Principal Mrs. Aruna presented vote of thanks and gifts were distributed to students. It was a dutiful day.
Robotic Champions of Jain Vidyaashram
Jain Vidyaashram juniors took part in INNOVIZZ ' 20 competition conducted by Elite group of Schools and ICUBE robotics at Elite school, Redhills on Jan 25th, 2020.
2 teams Comprising of 4 students from Grade 4,5 and 6 attempted the ROBATO(Zone 1) event and one of our teams bagged 1st prize among 26 teams. The winners Uthra Devi S and Arun K of Grade 5 were felicitated by the chief guest and received certificate and a medal.
The Principal appreciated the students and lit a fire under the students to be more creative.
